A lot of people have been asking me about the products that i use in my hair. Well before buying any products, one important thing to know is how porous your hair is. In my previous post i told you guys what hair porosity was which is how well moisture penetrates the cuticle layer of the hair shaft. This is the direct result of the way the cuticle layer rests along the hair shaft. I found these pretty cool self explanatory pictures on Pinterest that tells you how to do the porosity test step by step.
If you have low porosity the hair will float- it means that your hair does not easily allow moisture in or out of the hair. If you have high porosity that hair will sink, it just means that your hair easily allows in and out moisture due to the cracks and holes along the hair shaft. Normal porosity is when your hair strand doesn’t float or sink to the bottom, its stays in the middle which means that your hair easily accepts & retains moisture.
